GeorgeFiles.com has been my first step in the world of blogging and internet exploration. After 3 years, I lost all that I have written and is starting all over again. I think it’s a good thing.
My name is George Manlangit, a technology professional. After having been in the computer industry for more than 2 decades, 24 years, I have been exploring the internet world for the past 3 years.
It was not easy because you have to jump from one guru after another until you figure out for yourself that unless you take lead or control yourself, you would be forever following another person or the next one. One struggles because you don’t know basically what you want.
I have decided to make GeorgeFiles.com as my hub for exploring technologies. A resource lab with chit-chat. I have my own personal blog so I thought it is more appropriate to segregate the tech discussions here.
I know how it feels for those figuring out how to make an extra income online, figuring out what internet marketing is all about, the mumbo-jumbo of social media (Hey Technoratis, Digg this, it’s Delicious. Try Spinn-ing that!).
For the most part on the web, it’s really very simple. Technocrats, me included (occasionally), sometimes make it difficult for the average user. I was going to set up a company blog for myself but decided that it’s more engaging to have it on another site.
Web 2.0, WordPress and other platforms, have made it more easier to engage in the web today. Gone are the days that you have to use Dreamweaver or FrontPage to set up your website on a 10 megabyte disc space. Imagine that!
