Most legacy MS DOS apps prints to the traditional LPT port, ie LPT1. Unfortunately, the newer printers dump the parallel printer port in lieu of the easier and cost effective USB.
If you have to maintain an MS DOS program but the program can only print to the LPT port, you can use this DOS to USB printer driver program – DOS2USB.
Essentially, it diverts all the parallel print commands to the USB port seamlessly. Give it a try.
